Natasha’s Grecian Goddess Bridal Shower

Perhaps it was divine intervention, or just a gift from the gods – but what ever the case,  Miss Natasha was well deserving of this Greek Goddess {All White & Gold Err-thing} Bridal Shower.  A Bridal Shower that came straight from Mt. Olympus, was totally  fitting for the well-traveled bride, whose favorite vacay spot is Greece {Also their honeymoon destination}.

After Cupid and Aphrodite worked their magic and confirmed the wedding plans for Natasha and {now hubby} Omar, the planning process for the Bridal shower began!  Let’s start with the invitations, shall we?!

This went through MANY revisions. My initial idea was to have the text and design gold foil-stamped. Unfortunately, the print shop didn’t have the right shade of gold in stock {it was the bright yellow gold…ick} and would take too long to outsource the bronze shade I had requested.  After going back and forth on the final look – the olive branch wreath was the winner. {Pun intended – familiar design used for winning film awards} We also added a crepe marbleized white and gold strip on the envelope to tie-in the look! The pearl embellishment was the only detail we added to enhance the sophisticated goddess theme. Hope it worked!

We decided on two favors – Wine Glasses with personalized name tags for all the guests {to fill with our pseudo-wine {grape juice} concoction.} The other favor was an adorable hexagonal shaped antique gold favor box with white M&M’s. Mmmm.

Lastly, we would be remiss if we didn’t include Olympic Games! Ok, so this is no crazy acrobatic challenge, but Bingo seriously works out your lifting-finger muscles. We created custom Bingo Boards called “BAIG” {Her new last name} and used images of objects that were actually present. Instead of calling out numbers and letters from a list or a hat, we held out the actual objects featured below. One lovely lady was the gold medal winner.  We had some silver and bronze winners too.
